My List of CSS and HTML Books
Category: CSS
Thought I would share the current list of books on my Amazon Wish List.
Techie books are so expensive these days that they tend to sit on this list for a long time. Hard to justify the money unless the book has received absolute rave reviews or your company is buying it for you. I think most people, like me, just search Google for tips and answers.
Anyway, here are a bunch of books I’d love to own - if they were all free : )
HTML Mastery:: Semantics, Standards, and Styling
More Eric Meyer on CSS (Voices That Matter)
HTML Dog:The Best-Practice Guide to XHTML and CSS
Designing with Web Standards (Voices That Matter)
Don’t Make Me Think!: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability
And the missing one!
CSS The Definitive Guide - Eric Meyers
THE reference for CSS. Like all Eric Meyers books, it has some very good explanations. If you’re serious about CSS, you need this book. http://www.amazon.co.uk/CSS-Definitive-Guide-Eric-Meyer/dp/0596527330/
I’d also recommend the sister book - volume 1? - Eric Meyer on CSS. Some very good coding in there as he takes you through various projects line-by-line.
And finally, Zeldman’s Designing With Web Standards. The book that got me started, now on it’s second edition. I read it from cover to cover. Then again. It’s a strongly evangelising book that lacks the ‘how’ detail, but more than makes up for this on the ‘why’.

@ Glenn
You’re right! Forgot to say that I did buy “CSS The Definitive Guide” off Amazon last month. I’m resting my arm on it at this very moment : )
Although, I didn’t have the second one you mentioned, Designing with WS, in my list - so I’ve added that.
Cheers!
