A Photo Experiment with a Radiohead Song

August 3rd, 2008

Always looking for photography ideas, thought I would try this one; pick a song and capture a series of photos that represent the lyrics.

For my first one, I’ve used “No Surprises” by Radiohead.

Does this experiment work? I have no idea : ) But anyway, it was fun to try…

No Surprises

A heart that’s full up like a landfill,
a job that slowly kills you,
bruises that won’t heal.
You look so tired-unhappy,
bring down the government,
they don’t, they don’t speak for us.
I’ll take a quiet life,
a handshake of carbon monoxide,

No Surprises (1)

with no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
Silent silence.

No Surprises (2)

This is my final fit,
my final bellyache,

No Surprises (3)

with no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises please.

Such a pretty house
and such a pretty garden.

No Surprises (4)

No alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises please.

No Surprises (5)
