Games on the iPhone

Apple has announced that in June this year, the iPhone App store will go live. What this means is that companies and individuals can now create their own applications for the iPhone. And more to the point, that includes games!

HALO 3: FIRST IMPRESSIONS

My first impression is, “God I’m tired.”

Stayed up to 1am playing Halo 3 last night. So that’s your first indication of how good a game it is. And an even better indication is that I’ll probably do the same again tonight!

My New DS Lite Makes Games Fun Again

I finally gave in and bought a Nintendo DS Lite yesterday, which came bundled with the game “More Brain Training”. And you know what? It’s great fun!

That’s what Nintendo does so well at the moment. Reminds people that games are meant to be intuitive and fun. Something like Brain Training is in stark contrast to a game I’ve been playing recently on the Xbox 360; The Darkness. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m a card carrying Xbox Fanboy and I really do like The Darkness. Think it’s one of the best 360 games to date actually.

The Cherry Street Car

In Forza 2, you can create your own car designs. Took me a few hours, but managed to get the Cherry Street logo on the side of my Audi. Sweet.

Anyway, here’s a tip: If you have an Xbox 360 connected to an LCD screen, use the VGA Cable.
